One pair down

One quick gift out of the way, the Fetching Mitts from the Summer '06 Knitty. I recommend this pattern to anyone looking for a quick gift. I started on Monday and finished on Tuesday.

These are going to my son's bus driver. Maybe after Christmas I'll knit a pair for myself.

Next on the list is a pair of socks for the kindergarten teacher. I was thinking something cabled and beaded, but I haven't found a pattern yet. Any suggestions?

They're even more impressive in person...the chocolate yarn is scrumptious and you did a super job knitting them! I'll be making a pair for my sister in law!

Those are gorgeous! I just linked through and printed the pattern - thanks! I LOVE quick knits and think I'll be making a couple pairs for gifts ... just as soon as I finish knitting for the Holiday Open House on Dec 2nd that Heather & I are doing up in Rockport!

I have two of those on my knit-list now. I got the grey and beautiful med. blue at ACMoore today. Thanks for a great idea! (I was coveting the chocolate for myself, but budget budget budget! such an evil word, isn't it?)
